You have the most beautiful Dobermans I have ever seen! I can't wait to own one!

Hey this is Parsa, I think your phone died. First, I want to say thanks for taking the time to chat with me. You really impressed me both as a breeder and as a person- you are hands down one of the nicest people I have talked to, even though you didn't even know me. About the raw feeding, here is the website (it's great, it compares the Prey Model diet to the BARF diet). Prey-Model website: http://rawfed.com/myths/#articles Here is the BARF website to compare them both (this is the page that gives the specifics): http://www.barfworld.com/html/barf_diet/barfdiet_specific.shtml Another good Raw Feeding website to help you get started: http://www.rawlearning.com/rawfaq.html Here is the Yahoo! Rawfed group: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/rawfeeding/ There are even other groups. I highly suggest this one though since it has over 13,000 members! Also, I looked into your dogs dry skin problem. Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids are great for a shinier coat and healthier skin. You can get this with fish and flax seed (both can be in oil form, and both are really cheap). BUT flax seed only has the omega 3, not the omega 6, whereas fish has both. So like I said, open a can of tuna and let em at it! Here is a Yahoo!Answers question about feeding raw eggs to dogs. It is disputed how you should prepare them (i.e. raw, scrambled, boiled, etc), but I personally froze mine and fed them with the shell. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061123215052AAjECU5 Hope I could help. If you have any other questions, shoot me an e-mail. I hope to see you soon, and meet your gorgeous canines!

WOW! I wish all breeders were as responsibe as you! You obviously love your dogs. I love the Doberman breed; I was raised with them, and have had two as an adult (Sabrina, who I still have, was adopted when Tasha, my first Dobe, went to heaven.) I also own two standard poodles. I love poodles, but the Dobe hair is better in the country. My dogs are strictly indoors, and sleep in our bedroom. I'm not sure about the timing, but I you are definitely the kind of breeder I would want to purchase my next Dobe from. I cropped my Dobe's first ears successfully (she had a long show crop), but, after cancelling three appointments for Sabrina, I left her ears long. (I did not have the heart to take her in after the lost of Tasha...so, I left her ears natural...she is still very much a Dobe!) I hope to meet you soon...I may send in a questionnaire! Good luck with your breeding! Annamarie

Devenshire's Red Velvet Hammer voices his opinion.  He was 14" across his chest and weighed in at a trim 114 lbs. of pure muscle--no fat!  He was an exceptional dog with children, so very gentle.  Once a baby stuck their finger in his eye and he just sat there, never moved, until we noticed and removed the child's finger.  We were all in a panic, but Hammer simply reached over and licked the child's face!  His eye was fine--but no one could believe any animal would do that.  As gentle as he was with children, that is how fierce a protector he could be!
